I am so excited to share something new (and very special) with our Park Street community.
The Friends of Park Street PTA has officially launched a brand-new fundraising page — making it easier than ever to support our wonderful school, whether that’s through a one-off donation or a regular monthly contribution.
And here’s the really good bit…
Because we are a registered charity, we can claim Gift Aid on eligible donations — which means for every £1 you give, we can claim an extra 25p from the Government at no extra cost to you.
It’s one of the simplest ways to make your generosity go further. 💛
Why We’re Taking Fundraising to the Next Level
Park Street may be a small school — just 120 pupils — but our ambitions for the children are big.
Over the past few years, thanks to your support, we’ve been able to:
Refurbish both school playgrounds
Purchase Chromebooks and charging stations
Support school productions and creative projects
Provide additional resources and learning materials
But like many schools, funding is stretched. And the little extras that make school magical? They often depend on us — the PTA — stepping in.
That’s why we’re evolving how we fundraise.
Not just fairs and raffles (although we love those too!), but a more sustainable, long-term way to support the school all year round.
What Your Regular Donation Could Do
Sometimes it’s easier to see the impact in real terms:
💛 £10 a month could buy 24 new books for the library
💛 £20 a month could help fund a class workshop
💛 £100 a month could help subsidise additional school dinner costs
💛 £500 a year could help cover the cost of the KS2 school production
Of course, we know not everyone is in a position to give — and that’s absolutely okay. Being part of the community shows up in many ways.
But if you are able to set up a small monthly direct debit, even the equivalent of a couple of coffees a month, it truly does add up.
A Sustainable Approach to Supporting Our Children
Traditional fundraising events are wonderful. They bring us together. They build community. They create memories.
But they’re also unpredictable.
A regular giving option allows us to:

Commit to bigger projects
Reduce pressure on constant event fundraising
